Transport Automation Solutions

TASbits is an "infoletter" devoted to the global urban rail transit industry. TASbits is intended to educate and stimulate discussion about the benefits of Communications-Based Train Control (CBTC, also known as Transmission-Based Train Control or TBTC) and routing technologies applicable to heavy metro, light rail, trams, commuters and automated people movers. Articles address technology for efficiency and safety improvements, methods for easy entry into the world of CBTC, and for those who have readily adopted CBTC methodology, articles about Alcatel´s approaches and solutions to meet higher performance needs.
