The vessel was together with two sister vessels, the CS Ile de Sein and the CS Ile de Batz built at HMD (Hyundai Mipo Dockyard) in Korea in 2002. The vessels have been designed and built to the highest specifications, and are some of the most powerful vessels in the industry. The vessels are purpose built cable vessels and are designed to carry out cable installations, cable maintenance and other related offshore duties.
